Back on Stage PKN Worcester Vol 7
Pecha Kucha Worcester returns with an epic Pecha Kucha event
Pecha Kucha Worcester Vol. 7, featuring an eclectic and electric set of local thinkers, doers, and artists, is set for March 20th at the legendary and infamous Ralph’s Chadwick Diner. Doors for the event open at 6:20; presentations will start at 7:20. Free tickets are available at worcesterPK.eventsbot.com, and donations will be accepted at the door.
Pecha Kucha is the international phenomenon that brings together all types of "creatives" for a night of rapid-fire "show-and-tells," networking, conversation, and fun. The diverse group of presenters focus on their passions while sticking to Pecha Kucha's patented high-energy formula: 20 slides in 20 seconds each. The 6 minute and 40 second format keeps the momentum flowing and the energy high.
“We’re proud to have another outstanding lineup of passionate, creative people on tap for March 20th,” said Co-Organizer Cynthia Woehrle.
Worcester's 7th Pecha Kucha will feature tattoo artists, photographers, revolutionary thinkers, doers, and a host of other creators from the Worcester area.
“I continue to be in awe of the range of presenters we’ve been able to put together over the past two years,” said Co-Organizer Scott Zoback. “The depth of talent and, most importantly, passion, in this area is limitless. Now, if we could just agree on how to pronounce the name...”
Pecha Kucha Night, devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (Klein Dytham architecture), was conceived in 2003 in Tokyo as a place for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. That demand seems to be global – as Pecha Kucha Night has spread to nearly 400 cities around the world. Worcester, the 196th city networked into this global community, presented its first volume on June 14th 2009 at Bocado Tapas Bar.
